The inauguration of the Bicentenary of the Birth of St. John Bosco was held on 16^th August 2014 at Auxilium Aspirantate Barasat. It commenced with the animated Morning Prayer integrated with some clips on Don Bosco. The solemn Holy Eucharist began with the entrance procession and a very meaningful introduction. The main celebrant Fr. Maurlin SJ in his homily appreciated the quality presence of the sisters among the young people. He stressed on the key words “With you, for you, always – Don Bosco”. The evening prayer service began with a Procession by all the inmates of both the communities where each member raised the flag of Don Bosco singing the hymn “Father of many youngsters” and placing them at the feet of Don Bosco. Sr. Lily Perumpettikunnel unveiled the decorated large picture of Don Bosco and it was followed by a prayer dance and aarti. The whole community then raised a hymn of praise and thanks to the Almighty for the gift of Don Bosco with a meaningful prayer moment with the help of a power point programme. Eviva Don Bosco !!!
