August 15, 2014 saw the celebration of the twin feast of the Assumption of Our Lady and the 68th anniversary of the Independence of our beloved Nation, India. The great day started with a meaningful animated prayer followed by the Eucharistic celebration. This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony with the sisters, teachers, the D.B.Tech students and the boarders gathered in the campus. Sr. Francesca Ekka, the animator of the community hoisted the National Flag. In her speech she exhorted the audience saying, ‘’be free and let our India be free.’’ We have the responsibility to pray and work hard for true peace in our Mother Land, India. A short entertainment program followed, consisting of patriotic songs, speech, fancy dress and singing competition to pay homage and respect to our nation. “JAI HIND”
