Inaugural function of  the bicentennial of Don Bosco’s Birth

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

The  Students of Auxilium School Dum Dum  inaugurated the  bicentenary year of Don Bosco’s birth on 19th August. The red house took the lead and animated a prayer service imploring Don Bosco’s intervention to gain God’s blessings on his children, to be true to God and our country through one’s duty and the commitments inherent thereby.

The cultural program including classical dances and songs under a beautiful facade staged the exotic representation of the forthcoming event of Don Bosco’s birthday. A pair of doves was set free highlighting the inner peace and freedom of the children of Don Bosco experienced in such an ambience where joy and mirth goes hand in hand with the spirit work and prayer. 200 gas filled balloons were released by the chief guest Rev.Fr.Antony Earatara SDB to mark the exquisite Joy of this mega event.

While congratulating the School and Red house for organizing this beautiful program honouring our father and friend of Youth Don Bosco, Fr.Antony exhorted the young students to ‘dream big’ as Don Bosco himself dreamed big and made his dreams come true in the course of time. He encouraged them to have the courage to realize their dreams too, keeping in mind that they are not alone in this venture. God is with them always to lead them to greater goals in life. Another special feast of today’s celebrations was the hoisting of the commemorative flag by the chief guest and the pledge taken by all to let the flag of Don Bosco and Mary Mazzarello fly high by keeping up a high standard of ethics and academics in our life as Salesian school students.
