Seminar on “Campaign against Child Abuse” was conducted for the teaching staff of Kolkata Zone on 01 November 2014 at Auxilium Convent School, Kalyani by the KSSDS Team. The participants were 27 teachers and 4 Sisters. The presence of Mrs. Shonta Sarkar, the Panchayat President of Kalyani, for inauguration added joy to the occasion. In her speech she highlighted the work of the Sisters for the poor and the marginalised and expressed her gratitude and appreciation. The resource persons of the seminar were Sr. Leelamma Pallipparambil and Mr.Debarshi Bhowmic. The topics they dealt were Concept of Child and their stages of growth, the attitude of the children and the students of today, Developmental stages of a child and the types of abuse.
