On 24th November 2015, forty students of Class XII went to Shanti Avedna Sadan, where cancer patients are taken care of. The Sadan was first established in Bandra, Mumbai by LJ D’suza and then in Goa. In 1994 it was brought to Delhi by Holy Cross Sisters.On entering the Sadan, the children gave the supplements they had collected for the patients. They were warmly welcomed and shown a video, which reflected the lives of the patients in the Shanti Avedna Sadan. The students first visited the men’s ward and sang hymns and interacted with them. Next, they visited the women’s ward, where they conducted a short prayer service to seek blessings from the Lord make their life happier.The students returned realizing the true value of life.
On 26th November 2015, almost 35 tudents of Standard VIII, accompanied by the principal,
Sr Celine A, Ms Sussi and Ms Ajanta paid a visit to Nirmal Jyoti, an organisation which helps differently abled children in Vasant Kunj.The students interacted with the differently abled children and experienced life with a different angle. Seeing the joy and smiles on their faces, they realised how fortunate they are and that sharing gives an eternal pleasure.They shared biscuits, cold creams, oil and adult diapers. It was an enriching experience that the students will cherish for life.
