
Don Bosco Week was organized by the sisters for the postulants and aspirants to prepare themselves for the solemn celebration of Don Bosco feast held on 23rd to 29th January 2016 at Aspirantate Barasat. The week was coloured by composing songs, dance drama, mime, shadow play, quiz, panel discussion and skit. Through these activities the sisters and the candidates imbibed the richness of the spirituality of Don Bosco.
On 30th the Aspirantate together with the campus community celebrated the solemnity of Don Bosco. In the evening the Holy Eucharist was solemnized by Rev. Fr. Mourlin SJ. In his homily he emphasized on the 5 P’s i.e: Promise, Patience, Praise, Provision and Promotion. He urged us to recognize the living presence of Jesus in others through accompaniment. The entrance dance of the aspirants and the boarders made the Holy Eucharist more solemn. Thereafter the aspirants and boarders paid homage to Don Bosco with their dance, skit and song etc. Sr. Stella in her goodnight congratulated the aspirants and boarders for their performance. The solemn celebration of the feast was culminated by the fellowship meal together.
On 31st January at 2.30 pm, Sport’s Day was organized for the Oratory and NCP children. 85 children were participated in it and few parents’ added joy to this celebration. At the end Sr. Delpina along with the aspirants enacted the visit of Don Bosco to Mornese with his boys. Sweets and cakes were given to all and prizes were distributed to the winners.
