On 22^nd January 2016, the community of Jumaikela celebrated the feast of Blessed Laura Vicuna. The celebration began with the holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Patrick Tigga. The day’s liturgy was meaningfully animated with entrance dance, introduction etc. The choir was the students of Janta Higher Secondary School Jumaikela. During the homily Rev. Fr. Patrick highlighted the simple life style of Bl. Laura Vicuna and her love for Jesus. Felicitation followed after the Mass.

In the evening communities of Don Bosco and the ‘Vicuna Nivas’ joined together for an animated recreation, recital of the Holy Rosary and for a fellowship meal. The games were animated by Bro. Maria Arokiya, Sr. Mary P. and Sr. Archana Kujur for the boarding girls and boys.  Sr. Rose Kureekattu, the animator of the community and Rev. Fr. Lalit Tigga (MSFS) were the chief guests congratulated the winners and prizes were awarded to them.
