Spiritual Renewal

A retreat was organized for the catholic students of Auxilium  School Bandel on 15-16 September 2016  at the school. Girls from classes 8-12 participated in the 2day retreat. Rev. Sr. Johns MSMI. animated the retreat and led the girls to a deep experience of Jesus through His Word and his  presence in the holy Eucharist.  It was like a ‘Mary’-like experience of sitting the feet of Jesus and listening to his every Word.

The retreat started at 8:30 am with praying the rosary. During these days we found answers to our questions from the Bible and were strengthened spiritually. Sr. Johns taught us the importance of short prayers such as “Jesus Mary, Joseph. I love you save souls” and to say “In the name of Jesus for the Glory of God” before we do anything.  Luke 1:35 says, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you”. She said that these prayers make us feel spiritually stronger and closer to God. The retreat ended with the reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation the Holy Eucharist.
