High School Parents Orientation.jpg

On 16 April 2018, the parents of the students of Cl.IX -XII, were cordially invited for an Orientation Day. The speaker was Mr. Wilson Joseph of the Effatha organization. The orientation commenced at 3:00 p.m. in the refreshingly cool auditorium, a stark contrast to the blazing outdoor.

A brief introduction and the purpose of the orientation were given by the Principal  Sr. Clara Saminathan and by two of the high school teachers Miss Sutapa Saha and Miss Sumona Banerjee. This was followed by the orientation in which Mr. Wilson Joseph with the help of a number of PowerPoint slides, lucidly elaborated on the vital, vulnerable stage called adolescence and how to help troubled teenagers to cope with the increasing workload, peer pressure and insecurities entering a child’s mind. Various other issues like addictions which grip a child, being driven by “hard mentality”, etc, were also discussed. Mr. Wilson Joseph’s warm disposition and amicable approach encouraged the parents to pose questions of their own. The highly informative session ended at 5:00 p.m.
