CELEBRATING ROHAN’S  5th BIRTHDAY – AUXILIUM SCHOOL, KALYANI

It was the 1st of November

Rohan Sur’s  5th birthday to remember

A noble gesture of his parents Ganesh and Mithu

Who offered a lunch party for the poor children far and near

To bring them love and happiness was their wish so clear

And the certainty and joy of having no fear

The number included a 100 in all

Sisters, teachers, boarders, co-workers and Ashalayam,

At the start of it all, he lit the lamp to signify

The Lord in his life to glorify

Even this so generously given to the school, as a gift

In gratitude and thankfulness our hearts we lift

Then came the cutting of the cake

Which each of us a piece did partake

The sumptuous meal served for all

In time and tide for all to recall

The children big and small had a gala time

With colorful balloons and songs to rhyme.

Praying then, for God’s blessings on Rohan, everyday

Of love, peace, joy, wisdom and knowledge to stay

To guard his path in everyway

And draw him closer to the Lord day by day

This is no doubt is a action in concrete

To the periphery, the poorest to meet

Let’s join our hands and hearts to see for signs

God’s promptings and only His designs

Birthday Celebration

Birthday.jpg

It was a noble initiative of the parents of Rohan Sur, a student of  Auxilium Convent School, Pre-Nursery to celebrate his  4th birthday with some poor children. He celebrated his birthday with our boarders and the co workers. A total of 45 children and adults along with the sisters had a good meal and snack given by the parents of Rohan. The celebration was consists of cutting of the cake, bursting of balloons, games and distribution of sweets.

How true are the Words of Jesus come in action: ”When you give a feast, invite instead the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Fortunate are you then, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the upright”. (Li. 14: 13:14)

We thanked the parents of Rohan, Mithu and Ganesh and asked the Almighty to shower His blessings upon Rohan and his family for their generosity, especially when we are at the close of the Year of Mercy.
