Salesian Sisters, Kolkata Province: Auxilium Convent School, New Chumta, observed Environmental Week from June 23rd to 28th, 2025, to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote eco-friendly practices among students and staff. Each day featured activities that encouraged hands-on learning and a deep sense of responsibility towards nature.





- Day 1 – 23rd June: The week began with a Nature Walk, where students explored the natural surroundings. It was an enjoyable and refreshing experience, allowing them to appreciate the beauty of nature and understand its significance.
- Day 2 – 24th June: Students from various classes engaged in a DIY Eco-Friendly Product activity. They created natural cleaners, paper bags, and cloth bags, promoting sustainable alternatives to plastic and chemical products.
- Day 3 – 25th June: An exciting Eco-Fashion Show was held as an inter-house competition. Students showcased creative outfits designed from recycled materials, combining fashion with environmental awareness.
- Day 4 – 26th June: Class XII Science students presented a Documentary Screening on the types of pollution and their possible solutions. They put in great effort by collecting local images to highlight how the Earth and surrounding areas are being polluted, creating a powerful impact on the audience.
- Day 5 – 27th June: A Cleanliness Drive was organized where students actively cleaned both the inside and outside areas of the campus, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
- Day 6 – 28th June: The week concluded with a Tree Plantation Drive, where both staff and students planted numerous saplings as a commitment to a greener planet. The day’s special guest, Ms. Tshering Dahal, retired Principal, addressed the students and shared valuable insights on environmental conservation.
The Environmental Week ended on a high note, leaving everyone with a strong message to continue nurturing nature and taking small steps every day toward a sustainable future.
