On November 14, 2017our school had organised a picnic. After Assembly all the classes one after the other guided by their class teacher were taken to the unique Garden. It was a great fun walking along the roadside with our classmates. All the classes were allotted different places within the park. Everyone was very excited to know what we were going to do. Then class wise we played games and danced  to the music. It was great fun dancing with everyone and even seeing our teachers dance.

We were all thankful to our dear Sister Principal for not allowing us to take phones otherwise we would have been busy taking selfies and we would have got engrossed in our phones. After that we played some games such as badminton, football and volleyball. We all were very happy playing freely and even talking with each other to extremest extent we can. Then we went to the other side of the garden and we found that it was more beautiful. The teachers played songs for us and we danced a lot. We were very tired and lined up to walk back to school. We even ate the food which our friends had brought and shared our food with others. Deep inside everyone knew that it was the best Children’s Day they had spent. Everyone was happy and many went and thanked Sr. Principal for making their Children’s Day wonderful.

PICNIC CUM  PILGRIMAGE

On 10th November at 8.30 am the novitiate community left for Sarantoli which lies in Ghumla District. We went to visit Mrs. Sunita, whom the Lord had taught to read and write. It was a day of healing and many healed of their sicknesses and gave their witness. We too could feel the power of the Lord working in that place.

The community of Auxilium Barasat went for an outing to the science city. Journey to Kolkata was interspersed with fun, nibbling on snacks, recital of rosary and Antakshari of Marian hymns to honour our blessed Mother on the eve of her feast Our Lady of Holy Rosary.

The first stop was at the space Exploration hall followed by 3D vision Theatre.  The show was about the launching of satellites by rocket and the preparations and gadgets required for the astronauts to land in other planets other than earth.  The second show was   Science on Sphere – Dynamotion Hall where we learned a lot about the solar system and mother earth.  The most exhilarating experience was at the Science exploration Block where we were ushered into the hall of emerging technologies. From here we climbed into digital panorama of human evolution. This was followed by a twelve minutes dynamic film with possibility of voice over in three languages on human evolution, projected on a giant cylindrical screen. From here we went to the last show in this block which is Evolution of life – A dark ride.   We were taken in a slow moving electric car for a mesmerizing experience supplemented by special light and sound effects.

After the fellowship meal the last part of the outing was the divine encounter with St. Theresa of Kolkata at her tomb.

An off heat day for Auxilium Barasat’s staff

Teachers Picnic

The school staff picnic held on 28th March, 2017 at Taki. An unblemished introduction for the Urban dwelers to the core roots forth Taki as a prime gateway of river Ichamoti ( Hasnabad). Taki envelops the Supreme defination of natural beauty.

This particular village uitrigued our school staff members who longed for a break from the fahricated humdrum of their daily life. A peaceful shelter at the Marchranga Island did wonders to the frazzled minds.

We started from school at 8:00 a.m, reached Taki by 9:30 a.m. and had a sumptuous breakfast. There we were alloted A.C rooms in the Taki guest house to refresh ourselves. Then, we all huddled in a boat to experience the spectscular scenic beauty.

We were enthralled to have the wid-riverexperience on the Ichamati river. The boat ride gave us a glance of Bangladesh and also the dilapidated atate of the Zamindar Baris (palatial building). After some time, we reached the Machranga Island and the Ichamati River seemed to engulf the island at quite a pace. After several photo sessions we returned  to have our food. It’s a picnic principle- things taste better outside and it was indeed a palatable lunch for us.

After resting for sometime, we boarded the bus at 3.00 p.m. and reached Mary Immaculate School. We were very cordially greeted by the Father of the School and welcomed with tea and snacks. Finally, at 7.00 p.m. we reached the destination of our school leaving with a pleasurable state of mind.

Picnic

outing

“We are a family: every community is a school of life and love”. How wonderfully this was realized on 10th February 2017 at Kalyani, when our community of sisters, teachers and co workers set out on a happy picnic to the Sanghati Park and the Millennium Science Park at 9.a.m. in a Mini bus, accommodating 30 of us in all. Being just an hour of journey we reached the gate’s portals much ahead of time as they open only at 11 a.m. outingThis was providential. The enclosed space before entering the park was spacious enough to conduct our fun games, offering small prizes to the winners in which all participated. Soon after this it was great, anticipated joy and anxiety to explore this park, as the gates opened to give us a hearty welcome. Then commenced the ‘clicks’ all around this scenic park that grabbed our attention at every nook and corner! The fountain, rare beauty of flowers, the rope way, the little hillocks, small rocks to perch ourselves on, the joy of the boat ride, the historical monuments and the entire Science Park was a real, pleasant and welcome sight. We shared our fraternal meal together and then proceeded to the Millennium Park, which brought greater joy than ever to all. The “child” in us surfaced when we ran to slides, merry-go-rounds and swings!!” All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy is a commonly heard of adage. Well ,this could as well be applied to us. “All work and no outing make our community a dull one”. So we had a happy picnic at the Sanghati Park and the Millennium Science Park. On our return we thanked the Almighty God for His benevolence and protection over us and invoked His blessings always to keep us as one, united family strong in the bonds of life and love.

‘A pleasant morning of 3rd February 2017 was buzzing with energy as the students of classes 9th-11th, of  H.C.Auxilium Vasant Vihar, headed to the Adventure Island, Rohini, to indulge in adventure sports. They were accompanied by Sr. Celine A., Sr. Jenita Mary and the teachers . On arrival, the students were fascinated by the picturesque environment. From the mini Eiffel Tower to the giant aeroplane, Adventure Island welcomed the enthusiastic children with a pleasing ambiance. They were first directed to the “MAD Show” where the acrobats and the beat-boxer entertained the kids and the magician created an awestruck illusion all over the room. After the magic show, the children were left free to the vast island where they had the opportunity to experience the fun of unlimited rides. All rides had their own rules and regulations for safety purposes. The children enjoyed going through various rides, like, Cyclone, Bumper cars, Fire brigade, Z-Force and the 360 degree Flip out. They were also served with sumptuous meals which included Indian breads, rice and red-bean curry. Though, the Adventure Island was quite adventurous, it was also safe and everyone, including the adults, enjoyed the whole some experience.

Class X

picnic

On a chilly morning on the 3rd of February excited students of class VI to VIII went to Kidzania which is located in Noida. Students arrived at the destination at around 10am .Upon entering, they were given a kind of a wrist band which had to be scanned after completing an activity. The children were also given some kidzoos, the currency of Kidzania. There were various shops and stores available which was quite surprising. A flight of stairs led to the first floor which had doors to various amusing activities like animation, music, culinary skills, making domino’s pizza, dance floor and many more. The ground floor had a departmental store, driving school, gas station and many more activities. Some activities were like jobs which played kidzoos after 25-30minutes of working. Later, the students were called for lunch. They were provided with rajma, rice, gulab jamun and a pack of  juice. After the lunch, they roam around the streets of Kidzania, passing through to the lamp-posts and enjoying the place. Adjacent to the Yes bank was a theatre where the girls who went to the dance academy and the fashion academy showcased what they had learnt. From Fashion show to a dance performance the audience enjoyed. There were so many activities that one could possibly not do all of it within the limited time they had. With no regrets, left the place at around 03:10 pm. Some of the people were still full of excitement when we left the place which made the bus feel like a Karaoke. It was such an honour to have been on such a mind blowing trip.
