School Excursion to Worlds of Wonder

On 7th November 2015, class XI and XII of H.C. Auxilium Vasant Vihar headed for their school excursion to Worlds of Wonder, Noida along with their teachers and sisters. We had an enjoyable time in the company of our friends and there were numerous rides such as feedback, download, mega disco. There was also a dance area where the children swayed to the rhythm and beats of the music. We spent our day in the amusement park till 4:00. It was a very memorable experience which would be cherished by us in the years to come.

Wow Sundarbans !!!!!

SundarbansOn 19th October 2015 the community of Auxilium Barasat, house staff and office staff set out for Basanti at 6.45am and the journey became very pleasant with prayers, rosary, singing hymns and songs. The fishery ponds, paddy field all along the way gave pleasure to the eyes and the white and pink lotus delighted the soul. At the arrival at Sonakhali at 9.30am a Motorboat was waiting there. And as soon as boarded the boat it began its journey towards Sajnekhali via Gosaba. For some it was a first experience in the water and for others a distinctive experience in the confluence of several rivers flowing from different directions for seven hours. There were lots of fun, games and photo sessions.Sundarbans 2 Each and every event in the boat added a wonderful experience in the mind and memory of every one. Whole day in the midst of rivers yet there was no trace of fear or anxiety of any danger because the hand of God and His presence was powerfully felt. The tourist guide and others in the host boat were very friendly who reached out in all the needs. Indeed the beauty of Sundarbans and the desire to have a glance of Bengal royal Tigers kept everyone alert, eyes fixed towards the mangrove. Some felt unlucky as no tigers were around others were relieved as there was the fear of tiger attack. The mixed feelings were expressed in one way or the other by different persons. Altogether seven hours in the boat indeed filled the hearts with owe at the wonderful creation of God.

Sisters’ Day Out

Photo0045The community sisters at Kalyani had a happy day out for a picnic to Monsada. We set out at 8.a.m. in our vehicle, and flew like a jet on the smooth roads as we journeyed along through fresh vegetable markets and squares, green fields and small villages, singing, joking and praying too all the way long. At a point on the road we had a very bad odor…holding our breath and noses impatiently. Just then Sr. Margaret blurted out ‘This is Self Love!’ We all burst out in a nonstop of great laughter! On reaching Monsada, the little boarders and sisters gave us a warm and hearty welcome with song and offering us flowers. It was a happy and long awaited joy of both the communities coming as one family. A sumptuous and delicious meal prepared by the community of Monsada  is worth mentioning greatly after which we had “dumb shards’” played, each having to do a forfeit, that made us happy and laugh to one’s contentment. We left the premises thanking profusely Sr. Valsa and the community of Monsada for making this day an enjoyable and happy one for us sisters at Kalyani. We thanked the Lord for favoring us with good weather and his blessings throughout  this day out.
