DSCF2740

On 22 January 2016, the entire school of H.C. Auxilium Vasant Vihar came together to bid adieu to the exuberant and buoyant Std XII batch of 2015-16 and on the second day a party was organized. The comperes for the day were Vrinda Saxena and Alisha Gupta. The programme held in the beautifully decorated school auditorium and it commenced with the lighting of the lamp. An exquisite prayer dance was followed by a short prayer service to invoke the blessings of the Almighty on our beloved out-going seniors students.

The Bhangra dancers set the stage ablaze with their ardour and passion as the audience cheered and applauded. A movie depicting the various stages of school life was presented which aptly described the bonds made, the memories engraved and time well spent. It was evident that the movie struck a chord with each of our dear seniors.

There was simultaneous sharing from the representatives of each section of class XII, all of whom recounted their experiences in this institution and expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the same.

A song titled “Always be Together” was sung, the words of which resounded the feelings of the students of Class XI toward their seniors – “….the circle will never end, just know that we’ll meet again…”, following which Class XI put up enthralling dance performances.

Principal Sr. Celine addressed the gathering, and wished the senior students good luck for their future, quoting,

‘Life is like a camera…

Focus  on what is important,

Capture  the good times,

And if things don’t work out,

Take another shot.

She further asked the girls to follow Don Bosco’s footsteps and be sincere, dedicated and good citizens. Not to forget, ‘Once an Auxilian, Always an Auxilian’.

The outgoing cabinet was felicitated. The Head Girl, Diksha Katoch gripped the audience with her account of school life, not failing to acknowledge the countless contributions made by all the sisters and teachers.  The vote of thanks marked the end of the programme.

On the second day of the Farewell Party was organized by the students of Class XI, where out- going Class XII students and all the staff members were invited for a dance and lavish lunch. The guests for the day, the young ladies of Class XII were dressed in their fineries and enjoyed every moment and thanked the hosts, Class XI students and teachers.

Sr. Geraldine in her message to the children said, ‘Don Bosco’s large heart was filled with mercy and compassion for his vagabonds that turned them from sinners to saints. This was his only and one great mission- to give him souls and take away the rest’. She exhorted them to live the Year of Mercy in their own small way. At 9 am the sports events kicked off. With the hoisting of the Bicentenary flag of St. John Bosco the Sports day was declared open. It was a very exciting and a happy moment for all to see the little ones waiting in eager anticipation for their respective event such as balloon race, ring race, flower girls, sack race, garlanding the bride, getting ready for school , obstacle races etc. Prizes were awarded to the winners.  Inauguration of Don Bosco Week at Auxilium Aspirantate

Don Bosco week.

On 23rd January 2016 the Postulants and Aspirants at Auxilium Aspirantate, Barasat began the ‘Don Bosco week’ with the inaugural ceremony. The prayer service animated by the Marian and Mazzarello group led us to a deep union with God and to thank the Lord for the gift of our Father and Founder Don Bosco and to seek God’s blessing through his intercession. In the evening Sacred Heart, Marian, Don Bosco and Mazzarello groups presented the composed songs on Don Bosco.

Don Bosco – Father of youth

You are the father, friend of the youth

The light of darkness, the faith of men

Bosco- 2 Oh Bosco Bosco

We live for you and all we do

We do for you alone.

You are the great educator

Guide us to be the world protector

You taught us to serve God

With love and joy so that we can help others to enjoy

Don Bosco

Don Bosco wow o waka waka Don Bosco

Teach us the way and take us to heaven

This time for Don Bosco-2

To work among the poor young

O Lord we hear your call

As living signs of your designs

Don Bosco leads us all

So help us, in our prayers and deeds

Our great Salesian goal

We live for you and all we do

We’re one in heart and soul.

D.O.N B.O.S.C.O

D.O.N B.O.S.C.O the word we love to say

It is the word that we all know

Don Bosco friend of the youth

Don Bosco we say your name

Bosco we say your name.

With full of love we say your name

With full of joy we say your name

With clapping hands we say your name

With smiling face we say your name

Solidarity reach out

On 14th and 15th January 2016, Auxilians visited old age home, juvenile jail, Kamakhya orphanage, Peergacha primary school, Mother Teresa’s home, Providence home and South Kazipara School to spread the message of love by lending out a hand towards  the less fortunate. Students entertained them and spent sometimes with them. Some groups also had some interesting programmes and games with the inmates on the spot. Indeed the Works of Mercy were practiced in a tangible way by visiting the sick, lonely, those prisons and by clothing the necked, comforting the sorrowful. The brick field workers were invited to Auxilium, Barasat.
