Annual Sports Meet at Auxilium, Bandel (Seniors)

The excitement and tension on the grounds of Auxilium Convent Bandel was almost tangible on the 29th of November 2017,as the management, staff and students geared up to celebrate Sports Day for classes VI to XII. The event commenced with the arrival of the chief guest Rev.Sr.Rose Ezarath the provincial of fma Kolkata. After the welcome speech by the Principal Sr.Rejina Joseph the Sports Flag was hoisted followed by the lighting of the Sports Fire by the School and the House Captains. The houses then marched in tandem to the rhythmic beats of the school band. The inaugural ceremony ended with a colourful welcome dance by the pupils.

 All the four houses sent their best participants forward to represent them in the sports events. In an amazing display of talents and sportsmanship, the athletes of Auxilians competed against each other to garner points that would fetch them the acclaimed House Trophy. The Sports events were punctuated by vigorous displays like karate, yoga, and a synchronized display of mass drill by the students. Some memorable events like 4×100 meter relay, tug-of war and the teachers’ events generated frenzy among the pupils. The day came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony.

Notable mentions include the trophies for Best Auxilian, Best Athlete and the ICSE toppers. Yellow house was declared the best House of the scholastic year 2017-18 followed by the Green, Red, Blue houses respectively. The chief Guest Sr.Rose Ezarath addressed the gathering and appreciated the dedication and efforts put in by all to make this day a success. The eventful day concluded with a vote of thanks by the School Captain followed by the Flag down ceremony and the National Anthem. Everyone left home with buoyant hearts and jubilant spirit.

Annual Sports Meet Auxilium, Bandel (Juniors)

On 28th November 2017, the gates of Auxilium Convent Bandel were thrown open to reveal a grand arena to all, set for the Sports Meet 2017.As the guests of honour and distinguished personalities assumed their seats, the event commenced with the lighting of the Sports fire, a flame which radiated warmth and responsibility. Next the four houses marched in tandem to the synchronized beats of the school band: and the flag of their Alma Mater fluttering high. The huge  gathering was welcomed by a rhythmic dance, and the students geared up for the field events that were to take place.

The students from Nursery to class V competed against each other in an array of event like Ring Race, Family getting ready for a party, shopping , burst me if you can, hitting the target, etc..The events were punctuated by mesmerizing and colourful displays of drills by various classes. The day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony for the various events and the chief guest’s address. Shri Pradip Acharrya Additional District Magistrate Hooghly appreciated the dedication and efforts put in by all to make the event successful one. After the national Anthem, one and all went home with cheerful demeanors and jubilant hearts, having made memories that would last them forever.

Annual Sports Day held at Jumaikela

The annual Sports day at Janta H.S. School Jumaikela was held on 13th January 2017.The school playground was filled with students in great zeal and happiness. The programme began with the march past led by scouts and guides. Rev. Fr. Patrik Tigga the parish priest and the Rev. Sr. Rose Kureekattu the animator of the community graced the occasion with their presence. The program was inaugurated by lightning the sport’s torch by our chief guest as he declared the sports meet open. The welcome speech was delivered by Sir Manoj Minj followed by welcome song by the students of class XII.  There were Needle and thread race, sack race, balance race, 5o meters race, filling the bottles, long jump, high jump, etc.

The ABEO (Assistant Block Education Officer) preside over the function in the afternoon and conclude the sports day and to gave away the prizes to the winners. He expressed his happiness to see the school, the surroundings and the students. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Sr. Cordula Kullu, the Principal of the school. We praise and thank God for the beautiful day and His watchful care over us.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2016 at Auxilium Convent School, New Chumta

The school playground of Auxilium Convent School New Chumta was filled with great zeal and excitement for the annual Sports day which was held on 20th December 2016. The fantastic turnout from the parents and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students. Mr. Prafulla Barman, Pradhan of Patharghata Gram Panchayat, graced the occasion with his presence. The program was inaugurated by lightning the sport’s torch by our cheif guest as a declaration of sports meet open. This auspicious day started with a welcome speech by our honourable sister Principal Sr.Inocencia Jojo and then Mr.Prafulla Barman enlightened the do’s and dont’s in the area of sports, in his inspiring and valuable speech. It was followed by an impressive march past by all the four houses, clubs and bulbul.

Cultural program started with a lovely and dazzling performance by the youngest students of our school i.e. Nursery and KG. Then sports event kicked off with balloon race of junior girls. After this exciting start the various sports lined up for the day, quickly progressed such as hopping race, Queen’s Walk, friend race, Bursting the balloon, penguins walk and ball race for the junior classes.

For the higher class students there was Needle and thread race, sack race, balance race, 200 meters race, slow cycle race and the last but not the least, the most awaited event of this day was relay race. In which these young athletes ran for the pride of their respective houses, while the other students were bucking them up with their cheers. In between these sports events, prizes of the finalised events were distributed as well as all the houses got the chance to showcase their tremendous drill performances with their amazing coordination.

Lastly after the announcement of the winners by Ms. Namika Lama and Mrs Gloria Kujur                   the medals and certificates of the field events were distributed by our cheif guest and sister principal. Over all best performance in all event was also awarded with trophy and the winning team was also applauded. The program ended with vote of thanks by Mrs. Alma Minj.

 

Sports Day cum inauguration of the silver jubilee of Auxilium Convent School Barasat

Sports day

The bright dawn of 4th December 2015 brought life and cheer in the hearts of the Auxilians of Barasat as it was observed as the Sports Day and the Inauguration of the Silver Jubilee celebration. The programme started at 8.30 am with the inaugural dance performed symbolically and meaningfully, specially honouring Auxilium with the formation of ACS 25. The March past and house drills were performed with much competitive spirits. The house drills were indeed a breath-taking performance by the students of different houses. Ms. Manmeet Nanda IAS,24 North Parganas, was the chief guest for the occasion. She appreciated the initiative of the school in forming the minds and hearts of the students. Indeed she challenged the students to be disciplined and responsible for the good and development of the nation. To concentrate more on the good that is being done in and by the country rather than the evil things projected through the Mass Media. India is rich in man power so make use of it to build better India, by contributing the best from ones side. She also encouraged them to develop their talents and be great in future; for tomorrows India depends on today’s students.

Sports day 3

Many students took part in various events held, both class and house events and won many prizes and medals. The non-participants too were very active in cheering their respective groups. The overall best house trophy was bagged by Yellow house. In this way the whole hearted cooperation and participation of students, and encouragement of sisters, teachers and parents brought to its end the sports day celebration 2015 and added sweet memory in the life of Auxilium Barasat.
