CHILDREN’S  DAY  celebration at Auxilium Kalyani

The day commenced with Sr. Geraldine briefing  the students on the significance of the day, namely as a tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, known for his love and affection for children and who has left behind a legacy of education and development of children in the country.

Rohan Sur of the Nursery gave a very short and sweet speech on Children’s day. This was followed by the Lighting of the lamp by student representatives of the primary classes invoking God’s blessings upon all with gifts of wisdom, knowledge, understanding and love.  From the touch of God to touch on the stage was a group song by the teachers and sisters: “Dekho I he yeh hai (tare Zameen Phar), heart rending “Bache man ke sache and then the stage rocked with Marathi dance Pinga –pori; Uri Uri Jai; Kala Chasma and Yahi Umar hai karle galti se mistake.No wonder they propped up with great amazement to see the sisters too dance to the rhythm of the music.

A wonderful sight then when teachers and sisters were in the midst of all singing and dancing to the beat of the music! The morning ended with a great tone of joy and contentment among the students as they were given each a snack by the end of this program.

Children’s Day celebration in the Oratory

 Amidst the fun and frolic of the children’s day celebration  Sisters and Novices  prepared the children to enact the departure of the first missionary expedition. Sr. Mukta Kerketta explained to the oratorians how the charism of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello from Mornese  reached to Patagonia, to India and also to Sahera Namkum.

In conclusion Sr. Rosalia Tirkey exhorted the children to make Jesus known through their good behavior in the schools, family and in the neighbourhood. After invoking our Blessed Mother’s blessings all returned home with buns and sweets making the day a memorable one.

 

Children’s Day celebration at ACS New Chumta

Children’s day was celebrated at ACS New Chumta with joy and enthusiasm.  It began with a prayer service and by the lighting of the lamp symbolizing the Divine presence.  It was followed by a welcome drama. The teachers as well as the sisters performed dances, songs and skits with love to make the day a memorable one. DSC08409.JPG

Sr. Inocencia Jojo, Principal of the school in her message encouraged the children to dream big and work hard  to attain it. On this occasion, merit certificates were awarded to the students by Superior Sr. Theresa V. for the various competitions held throughout the year.

Children’s Day celebration at Kurtumgarh

On the occasion of children’s day Holy Mass was celebrated in the parish church with solemnity by the parish priest Fr. Jugal Kishore. 40 children took part in the Eucharistic celebration along with their parents. As the entrance hymn was sang, the children came in procession, carrying a flower symbolising themselves. During the homily using proverbs and story Fr. Jugal exhorted the children to obey their parents and elders to gain the blessings for themselves.

It was followed by a dance  performance  by the children of Maryland. In the evening at 4 pm Sr. Shanti Tirkey and Sr. Prisca Bara with Asima and Rinku animated few games for the children. Finally   the winners were awarded prizes by Sr. Annie Theyattil.

CHILDREN’S DAY celebration at ACS Barasat

On the bright sunny morning of 14th November, the students of ACS Barasat celebrated the most anticipated event of the year, Children’s Day. The students took a break from the monotone of the school uniform and turned up in their colourful best. After the assembly at 8.00 am the students were given time to enjoy themselves in the school grounds. At 10:00 am. the students assembled in the auditorium for the much awaited programme organised and performed by our beloved teachers. The event began with a short prayer service asking God’s blessing for the deprived and the less fortunate children of society and a prayer. This was followed by a hilarious and insightful play on the importance of water. A couple of immensely beautiful dances followed suit. Then the school captains were asked to express their thoughts on this gala programme. Then Sr. Superior enlightened us with her golden words. This day, makes us feel privilege to be in the most sweet and cherished part of our lives, our childhood.

CHILDREN’S DAY  Celebration at Auxilium – Najafgarh

For the first time in the school of Auxilium, Najafgarh CHILDREN’S DAY was celebrated. The sisters and the staff were delighted to greet them ‘Happy Children’s Day’. With their smile and laughter there was an unknown excitement even though they were experiencing THE DAY for the first time.

The first event was held in an open air to enjoy the win -win games. The day went on with drawing competitions, games etc. The winners were awarded prizes. Sure they will cherish this day and label the memory of it in their heart and mind in gold.

Children’s Day celebration at H.C. Auxilium, Vasant Vihar

As a tribute to Jawahar Lal Nehru, his birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day all over India with great zeal and fervour. On 14th November 2015, the educators and guides of HC Auxilium, Vasant Vihar, Delhi, prepared and presented a cultural programme for the entertainment of the children. The grand event commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp by the members of the School Cabinet followed by the Prayer Service where the teachers sang hymns and offered prayers for the well-being of the students and their family members. Some of the moments cherished by the students in various school activities were presented in the power point presentation.

Children's DayThe children were reminded of the less privileged ones who could not celebrate this day and were asked to share with some of them whenever possible in a speech by one of our faculty members. Thereafter, came the lively parody- cum – skit showcasing the pranks of the students in their class rooms. A funny action song presentation based on retro was put up , which was cheered and enjoyed by the students. This was followed by a colourful folk dance medley. Such was the aura that it sent shivers of enjoyment and growing adrenaline of the students in the auditorium.

The principal, Sr.Celine invited comments from the children and each one had appreciation. The school captain thanked the teachers for their untiring effort for making the day a special one for them. On this occasion the teachers presented a set of wireless speakers to the students. Adding to the fun, chocolates were distributed to the children and finally music was played for them to dance and enjoy as the celebrations must go on.

Children’s   Day   Celebration at Auxilium Kalyani

  Children's day Children’s Day Celebration at Auxilium- Kalyani was anticipated to 10th November, Saturday being a holiday. The dawn of this day saw children in their colorful attire which filled the premises like a beautiful garden. As the children ushered into the hall, a brief prayer moment began the show of this day where representatives of Classes 1-4 lit the lamp to symbolize God as our true Light. This was followed by an entertainment program offered by the teachers where the students were very happy to see them perform dances, skit, song and comic. What grabbed their attention with wonder awe and great joy was the Chinese ambassador Ms. Chung-un-lung who came all the way from China to greet the loving children of Auxilium-Kalyani and give them a sweet message (comic). Stunning performance by Ms. Nita and her Regiment from the UK who led the BSF cadet through the stage in “Real White Shorts”…something unthinkable, unimaginable and unforgettable! With March past and Exercise performed in a most comical way. Oh, it was more of laughter and excitement to a limit. Sisters too made a show of their dance to the rhythm of “I’m a Barbie Girl” Indeed; we all could dance to bring joy to these little ones. It was indeed a splendid and special day for our dear children. Hats off to our teachers and sisters who made it a great one! The program concluded with Ashis’s words of gratitude to all our sisters and teachers for making this day a happy one for them.  Truly Children are a gift from the Lord, A Blessing, A Joy, A Hope, A Promise and A Future.
