On 22 January 2016, the entire school of H.C. Auxilium Vasant Vihar came together to bid adieu to the exuberant and buoyant Std XII batch of 2015-16 and on the second day a party was organized. The comperes for the day were Vrinda Saxena and Alisha Gupta. The programme held in the beautifully decorated school auditorium and it commenced with the lighting of the lamp. An exquisite prayer dance was followed by a short prayer service to invoke the blessings of the Almighty on our beloved out-going seniors students.
The Bhangra dancers set the stage ablaze with their ardour and passion as the audience cheered and applauded. A movie depicting the various stages of school life was presented which aptly described the bonds made, the memories engraved and time well spent. It was evident that the movie struck a chord with each of our dear seniors.
There was simultaneous sharing from the representatives of each section of class XII, all of whom recounted their experiences in this institution and expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the same.
A song titled “Always be Together” was sung, the words of which resounded the feelings of the students of Class XI toward their seniors – “….the circle will never end, just know that we’ll meet again…”, following which Class XI put up enthralling dance performances.
Principal Sr. Celine addressed the gathering, and wished the senior students good luck for their future, quoting,
‘Life is like a camera…
Focus on what is important,
Capture the good times,
And if things don’t work out,
Take another shot.
She further asked the girls to follow Don Bosco’s footsteps and be sincere, dedicated and good citizens. Not to forget, ‘Once an Auxilian, Always an Auxilian’.
The outgoing cabinet was felicitated. The Head Girl, Diksha Katoch gripped the audience with her account of school life, not failing to acknowledge the countless contributions made by all the sisters and teachers. The vote of thanks marked the end of the programme.
On the second day of the Farewell Party was organized by the students of Class XI, where out- going Class XII students and all the staff members were invited for a dance and lavish lunch. The guests for the day, the young ladies of Class XII were dressed in their fineries and enjoyed every moment and thanked the hosts, Class XI students and teachers.
