“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Initiative
On 15th July 2025, Holy Child Auxilium School, Vasant Vihar, actively participated in the initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.” This environmental campaign, launched by the Government of India, encourages individuals to plant a tree in the name of their mother as a symbol of love, respect, and care. The students, along with their families, took part in the initiative by planting saplings at their homes. Each plant was named after its mother, turning a simple act into a heartfelt tribute. The activity aimed to raise environmental awareness and promote a deeper emotional connection with nature. Involving families, it created a sense of responsibility towards environmental protection. The initiative also emphasized the importance of increasing green cover to combat climate change. Students shared pictures and reflections, reinforcing their commitment to ecological balance. The campaign beautifully blended the values of family and environmental stewardship, helping nurture a greener future for generations to come.

Save Earth, Save Life
On the morning of 22nd July 2025, the students of class XI-D of Holy Child Auxilium School, Vasant Vihar, conducted a class assembly based on the theme “SAVE EARTH, SAVE LIFE”. It was conducted in the school playground at 7.25 am during regular assembly. The assembly commenced with an introductory speech reflecting on the theme’s significance. This was followed by the prayer service that emphasized the importance of nature conservation and our duty to protect Earth. A short skit was then presented, beautifully portraying the small actions that can spark big change, reminding everyone that saving the planet begins with awareness, responsibility, and collective effort. The skit was followed by a melodious performance highlighting what a wonderful world we have, adding harmony to the heartfelt message. The assembly was concluded by how the theme “SAVE EARTH, SAVE LIFE” has inspired each one of us to take small but meaningful steps towards a better planet. The final address was delivered by Superior Sr.Clara Saminathan, who praised students for their immense dedication and hard work and highlighted the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. The assembly left everyone enriched by its message of “Protect nature, protect your future”.

World Conservation Day
On July 28, 2025, Holy Child Auxilium School celebrated Conservation Day with the theme “Save River Yamuna.” The event aimed to raise awareness about the river’s deteriorating condition. Students and teachers participated in the program, held in the school auditorium. A skit depicted the pollution of the River Yamuna and its impact. Dance and song performances conveyed water conservation messages. Students gave speeches and presented posters about the river’s current state. A documentary emphasized the need for immediate action. The event concluded with a pledge to protect natural resources. The program created awareness and motivated everyone to take steps toward saving the River Yamuna. Students were inspired to become responsible citizens and environmental protectors. The initiative was successful in educating and inspiring students. Overall, it was a meaningful experience for all participants. The school looks forward to continuing such initiatives. Students took away valuable lessons. The event was well-organized and engaging. Vector-borne diseases
On 28 July 2025, children of class IX H.C.Auxilium,Vasant Vihar presented a small talk on the topic and explained that Dengue, Malaria, and Chikungunya are transmitted by the bite of mosquitoes and pose major public health challenges in the absence of specific treatment against Dengue and Chikungunya. Source reduction, i.e., reducing the breeding ground, is the only effective means for the prevention of mosquito breeding and for the control of these diseases. They participated in the Poster poster-making competition on the topic “Common vectors & preventive measures to be taken to safeguard our health”

Eco Badges
Holy Child Auxilium, in collaboration with Go Sharpener Pvt. Ltd., actively participated in an eco-friendly initiative by preparing badges for the event Rhythm through the collection and exchange of 200 kilograms of old newspapers. This meaningful collaboration not only encouraged students to contribute towards environmental sustainability but also instilled in them the values of recycling and responsible resource management. By transforming waste into a source of creativity and learning, the initiative reflected the school’s commitment to fostering ecological awareness and nurturing a sense of responsibility among young learners.
