
May 13th 2019, began with a fervent morning prayer animated by Sr. Sherely Kalapurayil. She made us to revisit Mornese, the birth place of Mother Mazzarello through a power point presentation and re-live the memories of the past. We also meditated on some of the wise sayings of Mother Mazzarello which made every one of us enthusiastic to know and love our founders more. After the Morning Prayer the boarders greeted the sisters with a beautiful festal song. Around 10.30 a.m all the nearby communities of fathers, sisters, teachers, workers and the Aspirantate community gathered around the Eucharistic table to celebrate the gift of this great saint. The mass began with the rhythmic steps of Aspirants leading the celebrants to the altar.Rev. Fr. K.T. Thomas SDB presided over the Eucharist together with other four priests of the neighbourhood. The mass commenced with a fitting introduction highlighting the virtues of Mother Mazzarello. In his homely Rev. Fr. K.T. Thomas highlighted the spirituality of Mother Mazzarello and exhorted everyone to strive for holiness by giving three simple steps to become holy such as humility, hard work and union with God. He also quoted that there is no age bar to become holy mentioning the example of the two children Francisco and Jacinta Marto of Fatima who are the youngest saints of the church. Fr. K.T. Thomas thanked everyone for their presence and invited each to carry with them the resolve to become saints.


After mass refreshments were given to all present which was followed by a short and meaningful programme by the Aspirants and boarders.The programme which commenced with a festal song by the borders included skit by the aspirants dance by boarders. Sr. Stella Potteparambil , the animator of the community thanked everyone for their presence amidst us to exult with us for the gift of our Co- Foundress and summoned all for the sumptuous lunch. Every one enjoyed the day as it remained an unforgettable day for all.

On 13th May 2018, Mazzarello convent, Sahera, witnessed a dual celebration of Silver Jubilee of the School and the feast of our Foundress St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello. 600 invitees participated in the celebration. The Theme of the celebration was “Recall, Rejoice, and Renew”. The celebration was commenced with the Holy Eucharist at 10.00 am in the auditorium presided over by Rev. Fr. Joseph Marianus Kujur S.J, the provincial of Ranchi Province. During his homily he stressed on the theme of the celebration. He said that we are gathered here to Recall the past with gratitude to God, then to Rejoice for His faithfulness in our fruitful mission of 25 years and to Renew ourselves for the betterment of our Mission. Speaking on the life of Mother Mazzarello he stressed on her Love and Thirst for the Eucharistic Lord and the Wisdom filled life that she lived though she was illiterate. We all can acquire knowledge but without wisdom we cannot know the will of the Lord neither we can known Him. Lastly, he summarized his homely, saying,
















In his homily Rev. Fr. Matthew George emphasised on her sense of wisdom through which she provided opportunities for the education of girls. She possessed wisdom and an extraordinary sense of reading the signs of the time. She lived and worked for the Lord and trained the girls in skills for their honest living. If we live and work for the Lord, He will provide everything that we require. He also explained the four minutes talk of Pope Francis in the Sistine Chapel before his election. He compared his practicality with the life of Mother Mazzarello and her system of education for the young. The lively singing enabled everyone to take active part in the Holy Eucharist.
Then followed the cultural programme by aspirants and boarders; the aspirants put up a colourful prayer dance and the boarders displayed the life of Mary Mazzarello and her tireless patience in saving the young souls especially the soul of Emma Ferrero. The festal songs and dances made the celebration gorgeous. The celebration ended with a fellowship meal. Indeed the day came to an end but the joy and memory of the celebration still lingers in the memory lane.
The High school had prayer service and put up a unique celebration as there was power point presentation, self-composed poems with poem enactment and sketching the portrait of St. Mary Mazzarello. Hymns and dances and instrumentals made the celebration gorgeous. At the end Sr. Stella the animator congratulated them for their lovely performances and invited the gathering to imitate these spiritual and moral giants.Indeed the day brought lots of joy and cheer in the lives of Auxilians.
