Feasts of St. Mary Mazzarello and St. Dominic Savio Celebrated

On May 10, 2018  the members of Blue and Green Houses of Auxilium Barasat honoured St. Mary Mazarello and St. Dominic Savio their patrons. The programme began with the garlanding of the statues and reading of the biography of St. Mary Mazarello as well as St.Dominic Savio. A prayer song was sung seeking for their blessings. Some maxims of the saints were displayed by the students followed by a melodious song and a graceful dance. Sr. Principal unveiled the school magazine -‘Auxi Spettro-2018’ and shared a few words of wisdom. The celebration set the children for a vacation mood.

St. Mary’s  School, Geying : Feast of St. Mary Mazzarello & Dominic Savio

A colourful twin celebration was held in St. Mary’s Geyzing on Friday, 12th May 2017. St. Dominic Savio & St. Mary Mazzarello was honoured in a solemn manner by the students. The students of Red house and Blue house put up a meaningful programme to pay homage to our Saints. They enacted scenes from the life of Dominic Savio and Mother Mazzarello. There was self composed poems, slogans and dances. We appreciate the love and creativity of our students in honouring our saints. At the end of the programme prizes were given out to the winners of the different competitions.

We had  a joyful surprise on Saturday, 13th May. Fr. Mathew Pulingathil SDB, the Rector of  Salesian college Siliguri along with Fr.Mathew, the Administrator and Fr. Aju Kurian, the Vice Principal came all the way from Siliguri. At 11.00 a.m.we had the solemn  Eucharistic celebration. In his homily Fr. Mathew Pulingathil highlighted the virtues of St. Mary Mazzarello and her love for God. We had a beautiful programme presented by our boarders followed by sumptuous lunch for all. May St. Mary Mazzarello blesses from heaven.

FEAST OF ST. DOMINIC SAVIO

On 7th May, 2016 feast of St. Dominic Savio’s was celebrated in the H.C.Auxilium  Vasant Vihar. The programme commenced with a welcome speech by the Savio House captain, highlighting various aspects of the saint’s life.
This was followed by a PowerPoint presentation on St. Dominic Savio’s life, which he had devoted to God’s service and followed the motto: “DEATH RATHER THAN  SIN”. There was a skit depicting St. John Bosco’s description of St. Dominic Savio’s life, and his motto which he kept up to till his death. It was followed by a melodious prayer song sung by the Savio House members which was followed by a thanksgiving speech by Savio House vice captain and secretary.
The programme came to an end with an inspiring speech by Principal Sr. Celina A.
